Ordering Instruments for grade 5 students September 7, 2008

A reminder that this really should be done by the end of this week to make sure the instruments will arrive in time for the 9/23 lesson. Please let me know if you have any problems or needs, including financial, surrounding this process……………

Most of the bands have gotten off to a very smooth start already this year! One issue that needs to be addressed is preparedness for class. This means having your instrument-including all necessary parts-and music when you come to class. I am finding I am spending up to 10-15 minutes finding items for students so the can play and this is wasted and non productive time. Students should know their schedules by now and so from this point forward coming unprepared to class will result in ”0″ for your class grade on that day and also a note home. I may also require a makeup time be scheduled as well.

Before school lessons will start the week of 9/22………all lessons start at 7:50am and run until the beginning of school.
Grade 5 Lessons are on Tuesday starting 9/23
Grade 6 on Wednesdays starting 9/24
Grade 7 on Thursdays starting 9/25
Please remember to be on time and to attend every lesson as these are critical to your development as a musician! Remember that if we have a 2-hour weather delay or a no school cancellation, lessons will not be held…………
